Clubs and Activities

There are a number of clubs and activities that take place in the village hall, including pilates, ballroom dancing, zumba, yoga, youth club, fitness, musical minis and circuit training. Run on various days, and at different times to suit all timetables, everyone is welcome.

Monday: Pilates (Divine Therapy) 9.30 – 10.30 am; Latin & Ballroom Dancing Beginners 6 – 7 pm, Improvers 7 – 8 pm and Advanced 8 – 9 pm (private lessons 3.30 – 7.00pm & 9.00 – 10.00 pm).

Tuesday: Pilates (Fit & Well) 9.30 – 10.30 am; Yoga with Eva 7.00 – 8.30 pm.

Wednesday: Yoga with Eva 9.00 – 10.30 am; Youth Club 6.00 – 8.00 pm

Thursday: Pilates (Fit & Well) 10.30 – 11.30 am; Slimming World 5.30 – 7.00 pm and 7.30 pm – 9.00 pm

Friday: Musical Minis 9.45 – 10.30 am

Saturday: Circuit Training 10.00 – 11.00 am

Pilates – Divine Therapy Pilates With Caren Benstead

Pilates was founded by Joseph Pilates over a hundred years ago and has grown in popularity in the UK since the 1990’s. Pilates is designed to strengthen the muscles, increase flexibility and mobility in the joints, as well as decrease stress levels and improve concentration. The muscles will begin to realign and you will become more aware of your posture in everyday activities.

How much are the classes? The course will run in weekly blocks dependent on how many weeks in a school half term, so when you sign up, it will be for a course of classes at a cost of £7.00 each. Hatha Yoga with Eva Paoli

All levels.  Tuesdays 7-8.30 pm & Wednesdays 9-10.30am.  £7.00.

Yoga is a great way to look after your whole self, body and mind. A regular yoga practice helps you to be stronger, stretchier and have better posture. Sometimes described as a “moving meditation”, it also calms you down and gives you more energy for day-to-day life.

How much are the classes? Classes cost £7 each if you enrol for a block at a time, or £10 to drop in. Booking is essential. Musical Minis with Leena (TBC)

Musical Minis is a pre-school fun time music group for babies & toddlers (birth to 5 years). Each structured session encourages cognitive, physical & emotional development through the use of music, instruments & stories in a relaxed informal group setting.

How much are the classes? Cost per session/per child: £6.00. Siblings £4.00 OR FREE if sibling is under 6 months. All places must be prebooked and prepaid. Other sessions also running in the area. Circuit Training with Simon Dean

Saturdays 10:00 – 11:00 am.  £5.00.

A fun and effective workout, suitable for everyone and different each time. If you would like to give it a try, please come along at 09:45 am on your first session, so Simon can explain how the class works and find out a little about you and your current level of fitness before the class starts. This will include a mandatory attendee form (and next of kin info) about yourself to ensure we target the class to your own needs.
